Took only 6 minutes to steal $3.75 million worth engines from Jaguar plant

Thieves stole $3.75 million worth of engines from Jaguar Land Rover’s factory located in Solihull, England in a bold, six-minute break-in on Tuesday night.

The theft reportedly took place around 10:30 p.m. and was performed complete view of on-site security cameras. The thieves went into the center through a security-manned gate, linked their truck to a trailer that was holding the engines, and drove away, the. The entire incident took only 6 minutes.

It is thought that the same truck returned later in the night, connected to another trailer filled with engines, and swiped better car parts.

Staff members of the Jaguar plant were “stunned” by the burglary. “The entire place is in outcry about it,” a source stated to Birmingham Mail.

“We can verify that we are working carefully with West Midlands Police to investigate the theft of engines from the Solihull manufacturing plant,” a JLR spokespersons stated. “A reward is on offer to anybody who knows which results in the successive recovery of these engines.”

Following the robbery, authorities were able to find the stolen trailers, however are still searching for the motors and the robbers.

Any information on the location of the engines or those associated with the thefts should be reported to Solihull cops, the JLR spokesperson stated.
