A man and woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash on A518 Newport Road – between Gnosall and Newport – at about 2 pm on Saturday.
The two vehicles involved in the crash included a red Hyundai and an orange Mini Cooper S.
A man, aged 71, was the driver of the Hyundai, and a woman, aged 79, was driving Mini.
They both were pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other occupants in both cars.
Staffordshire Police have urged witnesses to contact them if anybody has information about the crash.
