Aston Martin DBS receives edo competition treatment, boosts power up to 550 HP

by Sebastian Bivin

When you are in the garage of edo competition, all they think about is how to make a really fast car to a really faster car. Even the monstrous 517 hp of the DBS from Aston Martin did not escape their eyes. Before you can even blink, they already have a tweak for the ECU and an upgrade to improve the car’s breathing.
If you are not so familiar how cars are tuned, that pimping job required edo competition to install new catalytic converters on high flow configuration, new set of air filters, a remote controlled exhaust setup. Consider all those automotive terms, add it all up, and the Aston Martin DBS rolls out of their garage with a better 550 horsepower engine with a monstrous torque of 442 lb-ft.
The improved power is enough to bring the car from o to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 320 km/hr.

The exhaust setup involves a programmable control that tracks the back pressure and opens the butterfly valves in case the back pressure is above the optimal. This ensures good torque even when running on low revs without compromising the horsepower of the engine. The sound of the DBS can also be adjusted by the driver via remote control.

There’s nothing extraordinary about the 21-inch wheels and the sport suspension that is adjustable. We have something new with the brakes though. Edo competition installed 6-piston calipers all around with 16 inch rotors up front and 15 inches for the back.

Setting up the DBS has no limits for edo competition. Well as long as you have a bank account to take care of the tab.
