Elton John AIDS foundation will have the Audi’s A1 premium supermini, a product that will help in raising funds for its organization. The car would figure in the charity ball being organized by White Tie and Tiara which organizes such events to raise money for the Elton John AIDS foundation.
The car designed by Damien Hirst, a contemporary artist of British origin would be auctioned at the event. The auction to be held on 24 June at the house of Sir Elton John and his partner David furnish, would turn over the returns from the Audi auction for use by the Elton John Organization.
Both Sir Elton John and his partner David have lauded the efforts by Audi and expressed their gratitude through statements issued in favor of Audi. Sir Elton has been especially expressive about his excitement at the prospect of such a unique item coming up for auction during the ball. David has expressed gratitude of the solidarity that Audi has always extended towards the AIDS foundation that they are running.
It is not only the Audi A1 art car that would be put under the hammer but there will also be a canvas spin painting of 6 ft diameter by the same designer Hirst that will also be up for grabs.
Audi UK director Jeremy Hicks on his part has said they are appreciative of the marvelous work being put in by Sir Elton John and his AIDS organization and the importance of the ball to raise money for the same.
“We are enormously proud to support Sir Elton John’s remarkable fundraising ball for the eighth year in succession with the donation of a priceless and unrepeatable work of art for auction,” stated Jeremy Hicks.

While I am a huge Audi fan, I still think they should leave the “Art Car” to BMW.
I thought we all agreed to boycott Elton completely from everything because he played at Rush’s wedding?
