First teaser photos of the all-new 2011 Buick GL8 by General Motors have been released by the maker. The car has been developed exclusively for the Chinese market and is a full size luxury minivan. This is a replacement to the Buick Terraza / Chevy Uplander-based model in China. The car had been previewed last year at the Shanghai Auto Show with the Buick Business hybrid concept model.
The exterior style of the car has been kept close to the design that was shown with the concept model. Specification of the car has not been released by GM Shanghai, but it can be expected that the size would remain close to 5,278mm (207-in.) in length riding on a 3.198mm (129-in.) wheelbase.
There would be a choice of a 2.4-liter Ecotec engine or 3.0-liter V6 SIDI unit with the production model that comes up for sale in China. The car would have a six-speed automatic-manual transmission.
Official launch of the GL8 is November 28 as per GN Shanghai.
