General Motors said on Thursday that Dan Ammann, the CEO of its majority-owned Cruise self-driving car subsidiary, is departing from the company, effective immediately.

The automaker did not give a reason for this departure of Ammann.

Ammann also served as the President of General Motors between 2015 and 2019.

The automaker said Kyle Vogt, Cruise president and chief technical officer, will serve as interim CEO.

Aside from this, Wesley Bush, the former chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman and the automaker’s board member, will join the Cruise board..
