Daihatsu has introduced as many as eight new concepts at the Indonesia International Motor Show.
First and foremost, there is UFC 2 which is an evolution of the UFC concept that was unveiled at last year’s show. However, it’s not as attractive as its predecessor as it eschews the swoopy styling for a dash of Toyota blandness. The company claims that it has a seven-seat interior and it incorporates convenience that is indispensable in daily life.
Similarly, the D-R Estate is a revised version of the D-R roadster that was also unveiled at the last year’s show. As the name suggests, it jettisons the open air cockpit for a fixed hardtop but the good thing is it now comes with a more powerful 660cc engine.
The CUV concept comes with a pretty funky design with re-arrangeable rear seats and a split rear door that opens in upward and downward directions.
The Ayla GT, X-track and Luxury concepts gives an idea of the future variants of the Ayla. The GT is a sporty concept, the Luxury is an upscale version while the X-track is a ruggedized concept with off-road inspired styling.
Last but not the least, the NC-Y and NC-Z concepts preview a potential model that could be slotted below the Ayla.
