The traditional eventful sale of Important Motor Cars and Fine Automobilia usually held at Bonham every year has been collocated to a new venue. It is now scheduled to take place at the Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey and on the 6th of December. The Bonham event is marked by new and intimidating surprises every time round.
For this time there is the Mercedes-Benz 600 which is supposed to have been owned by Elvis Presley as well as a 2000 Ferrari 550 GTZ. The Mercedes Benz 600 has been estimated to go for a price ranging between £150,000 – 200,000. Presley, it is said owned this car for two years before he handed over the same to his friend James Leroy Robertson.
The car was purchased by the present vendor from Robertson Motors Memphis and thereafter exported to the UK. In case of the Ferrari 550 GTZ, the importance of the car comes from the fact that it has been designed by Italian Carrozeria Zagato and there4 are just four other cars that this famous car designer had worked on. The other distinction of this car being that it is the lone right hand drive car. The Bonhams December sale is expected to bring in a lot many varieties of cars.
The site selected this time , that is the Mercedes Benz world is located at a prime location being next to the first ever racing circuit built in Britain called the famous Brooklands Motor Course which is again close to Weybridge. The setting and locale besides the site would have two refreshment areas. The Café 1886 and the Gullwing restaurant doing the work. There is also the Brooklands Hotel in close vicinity to the site of the event. A shuttle service between Mercedes-Benz World and Weybridge railway station is available as well as there is the connection to London, the M25 and Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.
