There have been reports indicating that Porsche, a luxury sports car maker from the land of Germany, is going to launch a facelifted version of the 911 Turbo S this year. Yet, prior to being launched officially, the car has been caught on camera, wearing just a thin layer of camouflage. It is not only the exterior but also the interior that has been caught on tape. So, what does the car have to offer?
Well, at a glance, it seems that nothing about the car is different from its outgoing model counterpart. However, as we take a closer look, we can finally see that the vehicle is going to feature different graphics from the present generation model for its headlamps and taillights. In addition, the car is also going to bear revised door handles, redesigned engine cover and LED daytime running lights, which are new. The car can also be seen wearing camouflage on both its front and rear bumpers. Well, taking that into consideration, it should be safe to say that the car is going to have redesigned front and rear bumpers as well.
Now, as for the interior, the car seems to have its steering wheel inspired by that of the 918 Spyder. There is also a toggle switch available on the right-hand side of the steering wheel. Customers will also benefit from an onboard infotainment system display that is now larger than before. Underneath the infotainment system, there are also some buttons whose layout has been carefully rethought of and redesigned.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S facelift is reportedly going to have its veil taken off September this year when the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show event finally begins. In the event, the aforementioned luxury German automaker could even bring all-turbo vehicle lineups. However, there are seemingly going to be exceptions, which are, the standard and RS variants of the Porsche 911 GT3. Additionally, the Stuttgart-based automaker has also hinted to the public that a hybrid variant of the company’s 911 model is coming but perhaps we should wait until the decade ends for that to happen.
