Ferrari CEO confirms Enzo replacement by 2012

Ferrari 458 Italia has been revealed. We already know that a Spider version of the 458 Italia has been confirmed. But what else can we expect from Maranello?

Ferrari CEO and managing director Amedeo Felisa revealed CAR their future plans, which should make every prancing horse fan excited.

Talking about the Spider version of the 458 Italia, he said it is expected in early 2011 and will get a folding fabric roof just as we expected. Everything else will remain unchanged.

He did not confirm the Scuderia version, but said there will be a harder, faster 458 in the future.

Moving to the replacements the first in line is 612 Scaglietti that has been on the market since 2004 and will get a replacement by 2012.

There is also a successor to the all-mighty Enzo that will be on the market in around 2012. Ferrari has not decided yet will the new Enzo use a V12 or a twin-turbo V8. Whatever it uses we are sure it sets a new standard in the world of supercars.

Last one on the list is 599 GTB Fiorano that isn’t due for a replacement before 2015.

If all goes well we should be seeing prototypes of the new Enzo, 458 Spider and new 612 Scaglietti test driving around Maranello in the near future.
