Ford Motor on Friday amended its regulations to adopt gender-neutral language in the workplace.

The automaker said it would use the title ‘chair’ instead of ‘chairman’.

This move comes amid the ongoing debate over genders in recent years.

Gender activists have been promoting the utilization of inclusive language.

On 18 May 2021, Google announced that it will nudge users to adopt gender-neutral language.

On 30 March 2021, LinkedIn said it will allow users to add their preferred gender pronouns to accounts.
