The Ford Fiesta powered by the 1.0-liter EcoBoost has received the “Women’s World Car of the Year” award.
To be very frank, we never knew and not many people would be aware also of the existence of the awards like “Women’s World Car of the Year” and “Women’s World Car of the Year Economy Car” but nevertheless these awards have reached their fifth edition and will be been handed to the Ford Fiesta with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost.
A panel consisting of 18 female motoring writers made this decision to give the award to Fiesta after taking into account various factors such as safety, value-for-money, aesthetic appearance, storage space, child-friendliness, ease-of-driving, color, sex appeal and environmental footprint.
This 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine generates 125 HP (92 kW) of output and emits just 99 g/km of CO2 and has already won “International Engine of the Year” for two years in a row in 2012 and 2013. The “Women’s World Car of the Year” award will be given in coming October at a special event which will be organized in London.
Way to go Ford – nothing is more important than winning the hearts of the women and if you get successful in that, one could say a lot would achieved for the model (and probably the company also).
