General Motors CEO Mary Barra’s pay increased to $23.7 million in 2020

General Motors CEO, Mary Barra, received a compensation package worth $23.7 million in the last year, showing an increase of 9.4% compared to the previous year.

The automaker noted that Barra’s pay package included a salary of $2.0 million, stock awards worth $13.1 million, options worth $3.75 million and a performance award which was worth $3.78 million.

Her base salary decreased from $2.1 million in 2019, while stock awards and options increased 7% and performance awards increased 38%.

The automaker the CEO’s compensation was about 201 times the median pay for its workers.

GM’s share price increase over 13% in 2020, ending the year at $41.84. Its market cap is worth was more than $80 billion.
