What will usually come across your mind when you hear the words ‘Corvette’ and ‘Camaro’? Well, the answer is most likely typical American sport/muscle cars with a design that is not usually exciting, isn’t it? However, this time around, you may well be shocked by what General Motors (GM) actually has in store.
As it turns out, GM design studio is actually keeping futuristic designs for both the aforementioned vehicle models from America, the Corvette and the Camaro from Chevrolet. This has been unveiled, thanks to the Velocity’s AMERICARNA recently paying a visit to the design studio that belongs to GM and making some observations behind the scene. The aforementioned media managed to catch on tape the rendering of a Chevrolet Corvette, which has its engine mounted at the middle section of the vehicle.
This is ironic, especially when you consider just how Tadge Juechter, the engineer in charge of developing the Chevy Corvette, denied rumors regarding a model with a mid-mounted engine recently. As you can see in the adjacent video clip, the Chevrolet Corvette definitely has a very futuristic design. In addition to that, the car also seems to sport rear air intakes, ventilated engine hood and an angular front fascia. Besides the Chevrolet Corvette, it turns out that the video clip also reveals the existence of a new sports car. This one, although not confirmed, seems to be the next generation Chevrolet Camaro.
Well, even though the designs we can see in the video clip are very futuristic and hence eye-catching, neither GM nor Chevrolet has confirmed that customers are actually going to benefit from those designs when they pay a visit to the showrooms to make a purchase on either the new Chevrolet Camaro or the new Chevrolet Corvette. After all, the designers may still be tampering with a number of visual designs as of the moment.
