Its always a special day when you are to receive your dream car. You have waited patiently for about 3, 4 or maybe even 12 months and on the day when the car is to be delivered to you, you are on the moon.
Also, the day can become a special one, albeit in a very different manner if the driver who is tasked with delivering the brand new car to its owners plays hara-kiri and ends up in a mess. As a young driver has indeed found out when he smashed a new Ferrari 612 Scagliette worth $300,000 against a roadside post while on the way to deliver the car to its owners in New Malden, Surrey, U.K.
From eye witness accounts, the driver in his early twenties seemed to have lost control of the sports car and hit a road side lamppost before ending up in the middle of a roundabout that almost two feet above the road. “He was driving along one minute and the next the car was in the middle of the roundabout,” was what Gary Adams had to say.
Needless to say, the driver was left in a state of shock and kept repeating that his boss would perhaps kill him. Another eye witness said, “he just lost control and smashed into a lamppost and then the car mounted the roundabout and ended up in the middle of it.”
Just imagine how the owner might have reacted when he heard his dream car has ended up in a mess en-route to his place of delivery.
