The production of NSX supercar was stopped by Honda in 2005. And ever since there had been speculations about the emergence of a successor that would hit the road. But now Honda CEO made it official: “I feel that we need to meet the calls from the public asking (for a successor).” But even with the announcement the production version should not be expected before 2015.
Post the withdrawal of the NSX supercar, the car that had slight connections as supposedly a race-car successor of it, was HSV that saw the light of the day last year.
Several conjectures regarding the future supercar, has hit the headlines. The first of its kind being that it will be powered by a 4.5 liter high-rev V10 engine producing around 550 HP. But reality speaks something different. Acura patented a new V6 engine that will deliver up to 400 HP, making it a more ideal choice for the sports car. The reason for the choice is its coupling to a combination of electric motors. So, the 3.5 liter V6 offered in a supercharged version has better chances of making it to the final production version of the new NSX.
