The latest sports hatchback from Honda, the Civic Type R, has actually not made its debut just yet. However, it seems that the Japanese automaker is not doing a good job in keeping its upcoming sports hatchback hidden from press. In fact, there have now been quite a few images depicting the vehicle available on the internet.

Well, to be honestly speaking, the design of the car may well upset a number of car enthusiasts out there, especially those loyal fans of the model. The thing is that the car is not going to sport the radical changes previewed by its concept version. Nonetheless, for a consolation, this upcoming Japanese sports hatchback actually has a long array of components one may ever desire from a sports car.

The car comes with a wide body kit, to begin with. In addition to that, it also has four exhaust pipes, muscular wheel arches, a rear diffuser with a prominent look and also a rear wing spoiler. Well, as if those are not enough, customers spending their hard earned cash on this sports hatchback in particular will also be eligible for 19-inch bespoke alloy wheels with a glossy black finish paired with red accents. These red accents are very suitable with the red brake calipers of the vehicle. For the front tires, there are even drilled disc brakes available and these disc brakes come from Brembo.

Under the hood, this Civic Type R from Honda is going to bear a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with turbocharger. The engine runs on petrol and Honda claims that it has a total power output exceeding 280 hp. The car can also reach a top speed of 270 km/h, it is said.

The upcoming Honda Civic Type R is reportedly going to make its world debut at the stage of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show event. This event will take place on March 3, 2015. However, it is quite likely that the car will be fully revealed online prior to its official Geneva debut.
