After releasing the first official picture of the CR-V this summer and more images leaked, the Japanese automaker Honda has decided to finally present the new CR-V SUV, as a concept car, during the Orange County International Auto Show in California.
There are many differences between the images that leaked and the video released by Honda like the modified grille for a more aggressive appearance, and the vertical taillights and the five-spoke alloy wheels. Details regarding the performance of the cars engine haven’t been released yet, but we know about it that it is more efficient (whatever that means) and lighter, and that the interiour design is more focused on comfort and spaciousness.
“The 2012 CR-V Concept strongly hints at the more dynamic and refined look of the upcoming model”, said John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda. “As the best-selling SUV in each of the past four years, the 2012 CR-V promises to build on its highly successful formula with even more style, innovative features and higher fuel economy”. sais John Mendel, executive vice president of sales for American Honda.
The production version of the CR-V Concept is to be officially presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, and the sales should start immediately after the event, according to The Japanese automaker.
These are the first official images and some spy pictures that prove that though the car was revealed in its final form, Honda does not stop the tests. Enjoy it!
