Ex-showroom price of Honda’s entry level devise Brio and Amaze had hiked by Honda cars by Rs 800. This hike is due to the tax rationalization accordance in Budget. This is the second hike price from automaker for current year, where in Jan earlier Honda cars had raised prices up to 60,000 of its entire range, after the benefits of expiration of excise duty.
The present hike price of Brio is Rs 600 and Rs 800 is the increased price of Amaze both variants (petrol and diesel). Now the price of Brio starts from Rs 4.21 lakh and ends with Rs 6.79 lakh whereas Amaze’s starting price is Rs 5.18 lakh and ending price is Rs 8.21 lakh (These are the rates in Delhi Ex-Showroom).
Honda cars Senior Vice-President, Mr Jnaneswar Sen says that this change in cost structure is because of Budget rationalization duties, but they don’t want to release the hike to the consumers in March as it is normally a month with good sales. So they released the hike in April.
