Hyundai Azera And Fiat 500 Abarth Officially Confirmed For 2011 LA Show

by Ionut Dragomir

This time Fiat and Hyundai chose the social network to broadcast their 2011 LA Show debuts, instead of releasing an announcement on their official websites. These debutes include the 2012 Hyundai Azera and the 500 Abarth from Fiat.

In its home market of South Korea, Azera has been out for pretty much all of 2011 as “Grandeur”, but now comes to US too. A version of the car will debut in US at this fall’s 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, the company announced today via Twitter.

“We’re in the final stages of ride/handling tuning for the 2012 Azera, and it’s dialing in nicely. Look out for it at the LA Auto Show,” Hyundai CEO John Krafcik said in a Tweet.

Isn’t yet for sure, but the front-wheel drive Azera slots between the Sonata and the Genesis sedan and will most likely be offered with a 270-horsepower V6 engine.

Also the Italian brand, Fiat announced its LA Show debut with the sport version of 500 mini called the Abarth. This car features an aggressive bodykit along with a tuned chassis and a 1.4-liter turbo with Multiair technology than the model currently filling up Mini Cooper mirrors in the EU. This engine is capable of delivering between 140HP and 180HP, depending on the model.
