For car enthusiasts, the automotive brand from the Great Britain, Jaguar Land Rover, is a brand well known for keeping its tradition. The brand is not usually too much about cutting edge technologies. That, however, is about to change quite soon, it seems. According to some very recent reports, the British automaker has been working hard on new, innovative technologies.
With that being said, loyal customers of Jaguar vehicles may have to say goodbye to the Terrain Response feature. Yet, according to Andy Goss, the sales director of the Jaguar Land Rover group, future buyers of Jaguar Land Rover vehicle lineups will enjoy a new version of the Terrain Response system.
Goss claims that the upcoming version of the British company’s Terrain Response feature will have the ability to measure the temperature level outside the car. For instance, if the temperature outside the car measures minus ten degrees and the onboard camera happens to pick up, say, something white that has a flat surface, the system is intelligent enough to predict that it is ice. Then, it will also react accordingly. As Andy Goss puts it, the car will have a thinking ability of its own before it actually hits any obstacles. In addition to that, because the vehicle has all its diffs set to go, the driver will not even have to do anything at all.
Nonetheless, when asked about what else that the luxury British automaker is actually prepping, Goss makes sure that he keeps his lips tightly sealed. Thankfully, there is a video available, at least for the new intelligent Terrain Response feature.
