Jaguar leaked patent images depict C-X16 Concept, not F-Type Coupe

by SpeedLux

Recently there were some images released on the internet which was believed to be representing the patent version of F-Type Coupe filed by Jaguar but recently we came to know that it is not so.

But the company spokesperson told Autocar that those pictures were from August 2011 when Jaguar originally filed for patent. It is quite possible that these leaked patent photos were actually depicting the C-X16 Concept.

There are chances that a coupe version will be launched by the company very soon and its design probably won’t be too different from the C-X16 judging by the similarities of the concept with the F-Type Convertible.

The coupe is expected to get the same engine as the convertible version which is a supercharged V6 3.0-liter engine with output capacities of 340 HP (250 kW) and 380 HP (279 kW), plus a larger supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine capable of producing 495 HP (364 kW).

There are speculations that the coupe will go on sale sometime in the year 2014.
