It was reported a number of times before that the British automaker, Jaguar, was working on a vehicle model that would bear the F-Pace moniker. Well, the vehicle has not become a reality so far, it seems, and yet, there are now new reports already that indicate the company is actually prepping an electric variant of the model.
Among all the sources of the information is the Autocar. Taking into consideration the reputation of the aforementioned automotive news channel, this information may as well prove to be accurate. Moreover, Autocar claims that it shares this information after citing reliable sources in the global automotive industry. But then again, why is Jaguar actually working on an electric variant of the F-Pace, if any?
Well, according to reports, this decision comes as a result of the ever increasingly stringent emission and fuel economy standards. Add that to the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and it seems only appropriate for the British automotive marquee to keep on doing what it is reportedly doing at the moment.
So far, details regarding the potent Jaguar F-Pace EV are very scarce. In fact, there is barely any information about it other than that it exists. Yet, according to some of the car enthusiasts and industry experts out there, this upcoming EV model from the British company may as well travel 483 km without even one recharge. In addition to that, some people also believe that the vehicle is going to share its powertrain with the electric variant of the Range Rover. Again, however, none of this information has been either confirmed or denied officially by Jaguar. To know for sure, there is still some waiting to be had as the car is not quite likely to make its debut at all prior to the year 2018.
