Japan plans to light the 2020 Olympic torch with a flying car

Engineers in Japan are racing versus the clock in a bid to be able to light the Olympic torch at the 2020 games using a flying car.

The automobile will be a single person electric tricycle with propellers placed on the front and rear corners to supply a vertical take off and landing (VTOL) system.

The car is created to be operated with the steering wheel and accelerator pedal either in the air or on the road.

As per the group’s website, the task is created to a new era where everyone can fly easily.

It likewise explains that flying automobiles will enable us to survive on water by reducing our dependence on roads.

Although the group is fairly little, they intend on producing a full-scale working prototype while partnering with a large company for financing and production needs.
The group is led by Tsubasa Nakamura, an automotive specialist who established the project named SkyDrive in 2012.

And their preparation for the flying car aren’t restricted to the theatrics of the Olympic opening event as the group ultimately intends to make the product commercially feasible.
