A new joint operation is about to take place as Lamborghini joins hands with Blancpain – the renowned Swiss Luxury watchmaker. The two are going to make the Gallardo supercar in a limited edition only. Blancpian is going to be the chief sponsior of this venture.
The model name of the car is going to be Gallardo LP 570-4 Blancpain and the limited edition version would be finished in black paintwork. The car would have improved ventilation due to the unique engine cover design that has been incorporated. The rear wing structure would resemble the Countach.
The wheels are of alloy and make of Skorpius while the brake calipers have a yellow paint and carbon ceramic composite discs. Carbon fiber has been used to make most of the external components that are attached to the car like the mirror and diffuser.
To give the feel of the race car there is the interior made up of black Alcantara and the yellow accents having visible carbon fiber.
The model would be an all wheel drive car having a V10 of 5.2 liter cubic capacity engine installed delivering 570 hp which is the same as in the Gallardo Superleggera models that are under production stages.
The weight of the Blancpain is 1340 kg which is 2954 lb when not fueled up. This as per the company claims is the lightest vehicle on road in the Lamborghini range. It is however known that the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera has the same weight factor.
When taking the power to weight ratio factor the car has the figure of 2.35 kilogram per hp or 5.18 lb which is considered good and is further verified by the sprint capability of the car which is 0 to 100 kmph or 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. For reaching the 200 kmph or 124 mph mark the car takes another 6.8 seconds. The top sped of the car is more than 320 kmph or 199 mph.
