The latest car maker that has got into recalling their cars is Lamborghini and has announced it is calling back 428 units of the 2007-2008 model year Murcielago Coupe and Roadster models that it has sold in the Unite States.
And the reason that the makers of luxury super cars gave out for such a move is that the weld that is supposed to keep the fuel pump in place may not be strong enough to hold the pump, leading to a possible detachment and subsequent fuel leak. And of course, fuel getting leaked is a serious fire hazard, something that the owners of the cars as well as the company would definitely like to be the last thing to ever happen.
Lamborghini has informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the US that its dealers there would start accepting the Murcielago’s from June and get the fuel pump replaced completely free of cost.
So if you happen to be the owner of one of those Murcielago’s, then you know where to go to. Or you can get in touch with Lamborghini directly for anything else that you’d like to know of the recall. You will have to call at these numbers: 1-912-409-5634 or 1-508-808-9562
