Lotus 2Eleven suffers a crash at Nurburgring

by Alex

The power to weight factor of the Lotus 2-Eleven reads 252 HP to 1,477 lbs and this makes the car quite a simple one to handle. On the Nurburgring race track however, things turned out to be a trifle different.

No details of the exact occurrence is yet available as in the case of any accident but the video indicates that the speed would have been a bit too fast and loss of control would have occurred whilst taking the corner. It was the bulwark into which the car ended up at and it must have been a damm lucky day for the driver that he suffered no major injury. The same though can’t be said of the car as it was reduced to a complete rubble.

Acceleration of the Lotus 2-Eleven is 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and the top speed is 155 mph. It could be opined that the power is a bit too large to handle for many an owner of this car.
