Mazda Debuts Koeru Crossover Coupe Concept at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show

Mazda has introduced the concept of a new model called Koeru at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Koeru is a Japanese term that means exceed. Koeru will be a full size crossover SUV. The preview of the concept looks almost like a model that is ready to travel on the road. Mazda planned to launch the crossover coupe at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. Koeru looks very much like the current CX-9. The size of Koeru is similar to CX-5. CX-5 is about 4.6 m in length. The car has a low body that is very close to the ground. It features a sporty exterior and heptagonal grille. It is equipped with LED headlamps and daytime running lights.

The sleek styling of Koeru aims to enhance the aerodynamics of the car and increase the fuel efficiency. Koeru has a capacity of up to 5 adult passengers. The crossover SUV will feature the MZD Connect Infotainment system. It is not yet known what type of engine the car will be using. They only mention that they are using the latest SkyActiv technology to ensure that the car has high performance and is eco-friendly. They should be releasing the detailed specifications for the car later this year. It is estimated that Mazda will take 2 years to produce the car.
