Mazda MX-5 Miata reaches 900,000 sales figure mark: Creates a new Guinness World Record

by Alex

Its not everyday that you come across something like to create a Guinness World Record, hold it for 11 years and then rewrite it once again after a decade of the initial setting of the record.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata has done just that and also has the distinction of being the most popular roadster ever and continuing to be so.

In May 200 this model was adjudged the “best-selling two-seat sports car” which was a world record. The production stood at 531,890 models. This number and the record continue to be re-written by the same model years after it was set. It has recently broken its own record by reaching a figure of 900,000 units made. The Mx-5 has been the popular one and loved once since 2989 and continue to draw the same adorable attention 21 years since then.
