Mercedes-Benz EL500 luxury sedan is a journey into the future

by Alex

With the rising levels of pollution and depletion of fossil fuels, electric driven vehicles and fuel efficient cars are all set to be the trend in the automobile market in the next few years.

Many automobile makers in the market have also started implementing the fuel efficient engines in their car models. In developing countries like India, where Sedans or SUV’s are not highly bought due to environmental and financial drawbacks, these cars are all set to improve markets there.

US designer Nikita Kalinin is not employed to any of the automobile companies, yet with a passion for cars, she has designed a car of the future that we all hope to see in the streets in the near future. Kalinin has designed the Mercedes-Benz EL500 Luxury Sedan with a fully electric long wheelbase. The car will run on dual battery, a Li-Ion permanent battery powering up in the front and the rear with a quick swap cartridge battery. The batteries will run the two heavy motors and will compact the CVT transaxles. The car will have a mileage of 300 miles for a full charge of battery. Quite something to boast of!
