Mercedes-Benz will reportedly make an official announcement regarding its new product at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event which will take place in Las Vegas. This announcement comes from the Consumer Electronics Association, citing the words of Dr. Dieter Zetsche, the chairman of Daimler-Chrysler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz.
Up to now, there are not many details available just yet regarding the upcoming concept that the German luxury automaker is prepping at the moment. All that people know so far is that the concept is well underway and it will have been ready by the time the upcoming CES event opens its doors to the public. Nonetheless, it is reported that Dr. Zetsche will make sure he covers one of the most important aspects during the upcoming CES event in Vegas. This is most likely going to be about the autonomous technology that the German automaker will be implementing on its car. There are not few people out there who actually believe that the autonomous technology Mercedes-Benz is going to show to the public will be in its latest, very advanced state, not just some early alpha stage.
However, besides talking about the technology alone, Dr. Zetsche will also be discussing about the potent impact that the autonomous vehicle technology will have on the environment, mobility and the society. Needless to say, this is very important, especially considering the global warming effect that keeps on getting worse and worse by the day. Additionally, he will also discuss about any possible ideas that the company may well use in the future.
For anyone interested in noting down the keynote addresses from the Daimler-Chrysler chairman, they may want to mark January 5 on their calendar. On that date, at 8 p.m. PDT, Dr. Dieter will give his presentation while at the same time introducing a new concept from Mercedes-Benz, a concept that remains fully mysterious until now.
