On the stage of the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the luxury automaker from Germany, Mercedes-Benz, has taken the liberty of presenting its G500 4×4 concept vehicle. The debut of this vehicle has actually been preceded by its debut, which took place only last month. With this new model, the luxury German automotive marquee is likely to replace the old G-Class. Speaking of which, the G63 AMG with six wheels is actually quite a crazy idea, apparently. Now, its place is going to be occupied by the company’s G-Class Squared model, starting from the aforementioned G500.
The new G500 4×4 from Mercedes-Benz is coming with a ground clearance that has been increased quite significantly, just like in the case of the company’s 3-axle G model. The new G model also sits firmly on 22-inch alloy wheels wrapped neatly in off-road tires.
Needless to say, the new G500 4×4 from the German company has quite a few things that customers aren’t quite likely to find at all on a regular version of the model. These things include carbon fiber flares, underbody guards made of the stainless steel material, AMG front bumper and also upgraded suspensions.
The new off-roader from Mercedes-Benz is to receive its power from a 4.0L V8 engine that is backed by twin turbochargers. Thanks to this engine hiding beneath its engine hood, the car receives a total power output of 422 HP. With that being said, owners of this off-roader will actually feel more like as if they are driving a sports car and not a cross-country car.
Speaking of its latest G500 4×4 model, Mercedes-Benz has made it clear that the car will only enter the production phase if and only if the model receives positive feedback from potent buyers out there.
