Earlier there were reports that Mercedes will introduce 13 all-new models by 2020, but Mercedes-Benz CEO for the US has announced there will actually be a total of 30 models to begin with.
Cannon said there will be an “incoming of new products for our current owners and we’ll enter other segments to bring new buyers to the brand.” He declined to give details but said that the company will have one launch, each in the US every quarter for the up coming seven years.
For 2013, Mercedes is planning to introduce the CLA and the redesigned S-Class. Both models will go on sale this year and will be the initial models to be launched.
While there is some speculation as to whether launching 30 new models would be possible, the figure actually includes imitative body style and function. This could really mean that there will actually be 30 vehicles in reality.
Let us wait to see what’s the actual scenario is and then come to a conclusion eventually.
