Mitsubishi Motors Corp, which has confessed manipulating fuel economy tests for mini-vehicles in Japan, on Wednesday stated its automobiles for the design years 2013 to 2017 sold in the United States have appropriate mileage ratings.

Mitsubishi said it has actually gone back and re-tested the models from those model years offered in the United States market.

“Our findings verify that fuel economy testing data for these U.S. market vehicles is accurate and abide by established EPA procedures,” the company stated in a declaration.
