Mitsubishi postpones factory resumption in China due to coronavirus

Mitsubishi Motors is postponing the restart of its plant with Guangzhou Automobile Group located in Hunan province until 27 because of coronavirus outbreak, the Japanese automaker stated on Friday.

It had previous planned to restart operations as early as February 17.

Mitsubishi has also postponed the restart of its engine plant with Shenyang Aerospace in Liaoning province and another with Dongan Automotive Engine Manufacturing in Heilongjiang province after Lunar New Year holidays.

Coronavirus has so far infected thousands and killed over 1300 people in China.
