Mitsubishi has finally declared on Twitter’s US version that the company will be unveiling the 2011 i-MiEV at 2010 Los Angeles auto show that is scheduled to be conducted next month. In fact, i MiEV is the zero emission vehicles. When considering carbon dioxide emissions at power plants which generate power required for car charging, this vehicle emits just 30 percent of carbon dioxide of the gasoline mini vehicle.
The Autoblog posted sketches of the car online as they are guessing that such drawings could be versions of the small EV which will hit the North American market in the coming year. The price of per kilometer is about one third of a gasoline vehicle. As per the charge of electricity, the cost per kilometer can reduce to as low as 1/9th of gasoline, for instance when the vehicle is charged during night or off peak hours. As the car utilizes electric motor that is free of vertical vibration linked with the gasoline engines, this car runs without any noise.
This all electric car is Japanese model which seats four people and is featured with the range of 100 mile. The car is expected get upgraded for North American market although details on latest features have not been announced yet. The wide body of the car allows for improved side impact protection like strong cross beams, which meets the US crash safety regulations. The Mitsubishi car is all expected to be available for $30,000 or less, before $7,500 federal tax credit.
