MV Agusta is a highly capable bike manufacturer whose stake was recently purchased partly by the luxury automaker from Germany, Mercedes-Benz. In case you forget, the German company now possesses 25% of the stake in the bike making company. Now, Mercedes-AMG is celebrating this with the official reveal of the MV Agusta livery for the company’s C63 DTM.
The C63 DTM from Mercedes-AMG will be taking part in this year’s competition. For the upcoming competition for this season, the German company has entrusted the car to be controlled by Maximilian Gotz behind the wheel. Gotz is a DTM rookie who is just 29 years old at the moment.
On the other hand, MV Agusta will also be making a similar move. In the upcoming World Supersport and World Superbike championships, the bike maker will be using the Mercedes-AMG badging. The badging will be applied onto the bike maker’s F4 and F3 RC bike models.
Ulrich Fritz, the team principal of the Mercedes-AMG DTM, has also pointed out that both brands – the luxury German brand, Mercedes-Benz, and the luxury bike brand, MV Agusta – have something in common, which is a high racing spirit. Fritz points out this common racing spirit of the two luxury brands will now be clearly visible on the racing machines of both companies. This, Fritz claims, symbolizes that both companies have a great desire to become the best in their own competitions.
Last but not least, Ulrich Fritz also adds that with the Italian bike maker, MV Agusta, being involved with Mercedes-Benz, there is a great reason why people should be looking forward to the upcoming DTM competition of the 2015 season.
