New Audi Q5 Hybrid gets 2.0-liter TSI and Electric Motor

by Alex

Audi has high hopes on the Q5Hybrid SUV and the Audi web site has been giving a lot of focus on this car of late.

The site indicates that the car is to have a 2.0 TSI four-cylinder working alongside a 33-kW (44 HP) electric motor making it a complete hybrid in every sense. The car is also supposed to be having regenerative braking, and start/stop feature.

The car is also expected to have an adaptive control system to optimize the gas/ electric power ratio. Speeds that the car can make in pure electric mode are 100 kmph or 62 mph. The instrument panel of the car is to have a display indicating the range and power left of the car.

The car also features an S mode which is now a common occurrence in most all cars of the day. This feature permits for higher performance of the hybrid mix. One gets the total power of 240 hp and 480 Nm or 354 lb ft torque that the combined engine motor actually develops. And then the car also has the boost function.
