Are you a fan of the luxury German car known as the Porsche Panamera? Well, in that case, you may have been hardly waiting for news on this vehicle lineup from the German automaker, Porsche. Yes, there is not too much coming out of the official mouths of Porsche, but some spy photos have emerged online, depicting the company’s upcoming, new generation vehicle model.
When it was spotted, unlike most test mules from other automakers, the Panamera did not seem to wear enough camouflage. Only its headlamps and taillights were camouflaged while the body panel remained fully visible. The headlamps and taillights seemed to sport a faux design so that no one would really find out just yet about their real designs. Also, when compared to the predecessor, this upcoming Panamera from Porsche is likely coming with an evolutionary design on its front fascia, featuring very few to no changes, besides the headlamps.
As for the rear fascia, the car now looks less bulky than its predecessor. Well, the German automaker has applied huge stickers on the taillights but those stickers will only fool those who are not real car enthusiasts.
Speaking from a technical perspective, the car will be based on the MSB platform and this should reduce the vehicular weight by 91 kg, give or take. In addition to that, customers will also be able to choose whether they want to ride a V6 or a V8 engine, combined with either an AWD or RWD drivetrain.
The upcoming Panamera is slated for debut in this oncoming 2016. Soon after that, Porsche will also be offering customers with several derivatives, such as the latest variant of the Sport Turismo model previewed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Coupe and convertibles are absolute probabilities, too, at this moment.
