US car market is a big target for a lot of Europeans brands because it can provide a large number of sales and some stability. Now a new car is on the way to USA.
According to Inautonews, the Italian car maker, Alfa Romeo, has a new model, which will take on the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 and it will be launched on the United States auto market.
The Italian company delayed its plans to return to the US auto market a few times, totaling a 20 year absence. This time the company just delayed it again, after it had a final date too. After all these delays, the manufacturer will finally return to the US in 2013 with a new model that will actually be an SUV.
This new model will be a strong competition for the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. It will be based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and it will be offered in front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Power will be sent to the wheels by a 1750 TC GDI engine, that delivers 200 HP, by a 2.0 liter JTDm diesel with 140 HP and a 3.3 liter V6, a variant of Chrysler Pentastar, which develops 275HP.
Probably the new model would be officially presented during a 2012 major auto show and it will be introduced to the United States in 2013.

After years of delays it’s hard for me to believe that is true…
Never going to happen. Even against all odds if it did I wouldn’t buy that thing. I want a sexy red Italian convertible not a crossover SUV. Booooring.
