After winning the 24 hours Nurburgring, BMW is already working on an even hotter M3 GTS. At least that’s what the grapevines in the automotive field tell us. This orange super sportscar was only unveiled some 6 months ago, driven by a 450HP V8 and sporting improved brakes, impressive suspension, rolling stock, and a light aero package. The company also offered a stripped interior for the vehicle.
Fanboys of the car should know that BMW Munich is going to celebrate the E92 M3 by producing an even more powerful successor. Tentatively, the car on the works is called the M3 GTS-R, and this 3-series is said to receive yet another upgrade in power sometime this year. BMW said that they will also furnish it with carbon fiber body panels in matte black just to reduce the car’s weight some more.
Pack in a set of wider wheel arches with Y-shaped 5-spoke rims with fat side sills and they’re good to go. There’s even a rumor that the company will be implementing a streetable version for the F1-based KERS regenerative braking system. These unofficial tidbits sound delectable, but we still need to keep our eyes peeled for more.
