Pagani Huayra on display at the Geneva Motor Show

by Alex

It has been ten years since the Pagani Zonda has come to be and remains as yet the spine tingling car that it had debuted as. It was in 1999 that Mr. Horacio Pagani came out with this V12 masterpiece that had been sourced from a 7.0 AMG. He had applied some steampunk styling for the interior. Along with this the exterior looks also matched its performance statistics making it one of the most exotic classic of its times. But each has to end at some time and so is the case with the Zonda. Mr. Pagani however is not just walking off but giving us a new Huayra and it was seen at the Geneva Motor Show just held.

Huayra draws its name from a South American god of wind and with the fist photographs that were given out drew lots of criticism. The wide bottom feeder mouth did not gel with most viewers as also the oddly set rear tail lights. But now at the Geneva event the car portrays a different look all together.

The style of the car has been changed to an aerodynamic one for the front and the rear is wackier in style.

For power there is the 6.0 liter twin turbo V12 engine that develops a whooping 700 hp. The weight of the car is 1.350 kg and the top speed of the car is a thoroughly impressive 230 mph or 370 kmph. The engine sound is also quite peculiar. Mr. Pagani and his handiwork can be trusted to give us something nice and befitting.
