by Ron Grant

The sales figures speak for themselves. The Porsche Panamera hits the top spot as the best selling car of the Porsche garage this April in the United States. About 678 four-door Panameras rolled out of dealerships last April giving it its best sales performance since its debut back in October of 2009. As of present, Porsche’s notebook reports 3,410 Panamera saloons being sold.

The overall picture reflects a year in year out drop of about 6% of overall sales. The car manufacturer has sold about 1,747 units from their current lineup in the US this April.

Adding to the sales of the Panamera are 219 units of Porsche Boxster signifying a 28% growth compared to April 2009, 135 Caymans showing 3% improvement for the same month, 389 units of 911 which highlights a 42% drop in sales over April 2009, and the outgoing version of the Cayenne selling 326 vehicles or a 63% drop compared to April 2009. The Cayenne will have its replacement coming in by July.
