Whereas a handful of very wealthy people out there are still waiting for Porsche to eventually unveil its latest 911 GT3 RS for the year 2015, an Instagram account with the user ID johan9ff has somehow managed to upload quite a few photos of the vehicle model from the luxury German automotive brand. This is very ironic, keeping in mind the known fact that the German automaker has yet to release the vehicle model in question.
Nevertheless, up to this point of time, the spy photos uploaded by johan9ff have proven to be the most revealing image of the car ever. Well, the vehicle does look a bit like its predecessor. However, it comes with a wider body kit, for a start. In addition to that, the car now also comes with a largely sized fixed wing on its rear end. In addition to that, future buyers of this exotic sports car in particular will also receive rear spoiler lips, carbon fiber front and double bubble roof (does it ring a bell, anyone?). Well, speaking of the double bubble roof, it kind of reminds us of the Peugeot RCZ coupe which, despite all its attractive styling and functions, does not make too good sales, unfortunately.
Speaking of the next generation 911 GT3 RS from Porsche, the vehicle is likely to boast a 4.0L naturally aspirated engine. Power will seemingly be sent to all wheels by means of the company’s PDK transmission kit. The resulting power output is expected to achieve no less than 500 hp. In order to move, the car will have 20-inch front wheels combined with 21-inch rear wheels.
It is also said that during its launch, the 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS will wear the Java Orange paint job. The car is capable of completing the Nurburgring lap in under seven minutes and a half. However, its speed will be electronically limited while in the pit lane, thanks to the onboard pit lane function. The vehicle is likely scheduled for debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show that will take place in March 2015.
