Porsche has been riding high on sales ever since the release of the Panamera. The model came across as a 4 door sedan and was introduced in the year 2009 as a car of model year 2010. But in comparison to the other models from Porsche, the Panamera has faced a lot of criticism from the auto world. Many of the hard core lovers of Porsche cars were left surprised with Porsche’s decision to come up with a 4 door sedan, which was very unlikely for the company. When viewed from certain angles the car seemed to be a jewel from Porsche but the looks of the car turned blunt when viewed from the rear. The look does really question the thought process of the designers when they laid the stepping stones on which the car was built.
But again if you keep aside the design the engine under the hood of the car performs majestically. The automotive press has noted down the capabilities and the numbers of the car with the Turbo trim. For the model year 2010, three models were put on offer from the company each having a V8 engine under the hood with a power output of 400 HP and the Turbo model that has a max power output of 500 HP. Again for the model year 2011 the company will be adding two new variants of the car which will have V6 engines under the hood specially designed by the engineers from Porsche to give the sedan its best performance. The primary reasons for which this car will turn out to be a runaway hit among the car lovers is the lowered price of the model combined with better mileage, beneficial to both the owner and mother nature.
All because of the presence of the 500 HP engine in Turbo the sedan had its say in the markets and gradually became more and more popular. But the point to be noted will be whether a Porsche with a V6 inside will be able to cope up with its predecessor.
