Volkswagen’s Porsche prepares to construct a new plant to make car bodies in Slovakia, where it may create up to 1,200 jobs, according to Slovak newspaper Dennik N on Friday.
The sports cars maker already has one plant in the nation and it has been working to construct a development centre.
Slovakia is the world’s biggest per-capita car producer, with 1.1 million vehicles produced in 2019.
Volkswagen, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Kia Motors and Jaguar Land Rover have also got projects in the country and because of this the country has become world leader in car production per 1,000 inhabitants.
