There is no questioning that the Mercedes-AMG GT is a very capable and interesting car. Yet, to make it even more interesting, a new mysterious variant of the model has been spotted undergoing some tests in the notorious track of Nurburgring. Word on the street is that this could very well be the road legal variant of the model which, if true, will be a pretty compelling option for consumers around the world.
In the spy images, the car seems to bear a rather aggressive appearance. However, not only does it look aggressive, the car also features an aerodynamically designed body kit. This kit includes such components as a rear wing with a prominent design, canards and also a front splitter.
Judging by all these components, people may actually believe that this is one of the Black Series vehicle lineups from the German company. Yet again, Tobias Moers, the CEO of the luxury German automotive marquee, has already ruled out that possibilities by saying that such a model will still take a long time to go into production. This seems to imply that the test mule in question may actually end up being a variant that consumers all over the world can comfortably drive on public roads within approximately one year and a half from now.
Just as a kind reminder, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 was only introduced back in this year’s Geneva Motor Show event and it seems that people could be looking at its street legal variant already within such a short time period. In addition, Moers also mentions that the car will weigh less heavy when compared to the luxury German automaker’s GT S model and that it will have about 550 PS of power coming from its engine.
