For those of you living in Mumbai, India, you are more than just lucky. There is only a handful of people out there who actually get to see the Batmobile in real life, even if it is just the replica version of the vehicle. However, a Mumbai-based tuner, known as the Executive Modcar Trendz, or the EMT for short, has actually managed to create a Batmobile replica that looks pretty authentic. As it turns out, this replica is actually based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Unfortunately, it is not specified what model year S-Class that the EMT converts to this very cool superhero ride.
Judging by the image of the Batmobile replica in question, it is clear that the EMT gets its inspiration from a Batman movie from the year 1992, the ‘Batman Returns’ by Tim Burton. In the movie, however, the Batmobile is actually based on a Chevrolet Impala and it is treated with Art Deco styling by the cold hands of Anton Furst. What comes out in the end is a superhero ride with a very distinctive, and even terrifying, look.
Unfortunately, EMT keeps its lips tightly sealed when it comes to the technical specifications of the car. The real Batmobile from the movie, however, has a total dimension of 6,621 mm (length) x 2,397 mm (width) and 130 mm (height). It also has a wheelbase measuring 3,581 mm and sits firmly on 15-inch alloy wheels.
Speaking of the Batmobile and its replica, perhaps you may want to be reminded that there is a new sequel to the movie coming soon. The sequel will be known as ‘Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and it will come with an all-new Batmobile design. The movie is slated for May 2016 release and for those who wonder what the next Batmobile looks like, there are actually images of the car leaked online already.
