Although only a few months have passed since Peugeot launched the newly designed508 ITS mid-size model in saloon and Station Wagon Both Formats, it seems that the French manufacturer is already preparing for the emergence of a new model inspired by its high-riding 207 Outdoor model.

While the prototype version of the 508 Outdoor was tested on the roads of Europe, photographer managed to surprise some frames with the mysterious car. Even yet Peugeot’s full-body cosmetic wraps leave most to the imagination, it is viewable which the automobile rides upon the jacked up suspension.

The engine range will most likely mirror that of the standard 508 SW offering several choices including 1.6-liter gasoline and 2.0-liter turbo diesel units, but we don’t know this for sure, for the moment.

Knowing the habits of the brand, it is probably to keep a series of elements from older models, but we are confident that the new Peugeot High-Riding 508 Outdoor will be original enough and will exceed our Expectations.

If the 207 Outdoor is anything to go by, the 508 Outdoor should keep its front – wheel drive layout adding the obligatory for any faux-4 x 4 wheel arch extensions, beefed up front and rear bumpers, along with a full-length glass roof.

Currently we don’t have many information, but until the official release is quite long and we will show you details that we find out.
