Stellantis will require all of its 14,000 U.S. salaried non-represented workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 5, the automaker said on Friday, as it plans a phased reopening of its U.S. offices by 2022.
Almost 80% of its salaried U.S. workforce self-reported that they are fully vaccinated, the automaker said.
The automaker said all workers would be required to submit proof of their vaccination status by December 4 and receive their final dose by January 5.
The automaker said in a memo to the workers that the action was also in preparation for a phased reopening of the offices in 2022.
Stellantis, along with Ford, General Motors have said they would mandate vaccines for their workers in the US.
